The Say No To Knife Crime film making project was set up by police and the council in Tameside, along with the Youth Opportunity Fund.
The trio of directors ran a succession of workshops encouraging the youngsters from Tameside to come up with their own story ideas. The ideas were drawn out in storyboards, acting roles cast and rehearsed, and then filmed.

Filmmakers take on knife crime
The 20 teenagers played some of the characters alongside professional actors and took production crew roles such as camera operator and sound recordists, and helped with the editing process.
THREE film directors are helping to lead the fight against knife crime.
Jason Hasford, from Titterington Road, Chorlton, said: "It's all about getting teenagers to connect with the issue to have films made by young people for young people, so that it's a genuine voice.

Jason and his colleagues in JMG Media Martin Waine, 24, from Broughville Drive, Didsbury, and Gino Evans, 28, from Mardale Avenue, Withington were asked to lead the project after making films with women in supported housing.
Earlier this week it was revealed that in some parts of Greater Manchester, around 27 per cent of children say that knives are a problem in their neighbourhoods.

The two minute films are to be premiered at Cineworld in Ashton under Lyne next month as well as being put on video sharing website YouTube.
Jason, 38, who has also made short films for phone company T Mobile, said: "The Say No To Knives Nike Janoski Air Suede films have been made to an exceptional standard and it will be a really big achievement to see them screened at the cinema in Ashton.
Hasford, Martin Waine and Gino Evans have been working with teenagers to make a series of films about the dangers of carrying knives.
